Growing up in Southern Orange County, CA you’d think I may have been destined to be an OC housewife. Not a chance! I don’t buy into the fluff; I like substance, which is why I would take demand generation over advertising any day of the week (sorry to all those who speak about impressions). My brain reacts to accountability, tangible results and data that proves or disproves a point. Perhaps that’s why I’m an ESTJ (practical, realistic, matter-of-fact). Lucy from Charlie Brown is an ESTJ…for those who know me it explains everything.
For me it started with USC (Fight on Trojans!) where my professors had day jobs and loved them. I realized I NEEDED a career that I loved. Marketing was my passion, my calling, and my career that I do love. I spent time at big companies, Ingram Micro and American Express, and smaller companies like Kofax and Epicor Software. One theme throughout has been accountability and making sure money given to the marketing department was providing ROI back to the business. Now I work with amazing clients and an amazing team of peers who share the same passion for demand gen…what could be better?

Heather Foeh
Senior Manager, SMB Customer Success for Eloqua
I’ve had a rather meandering career to get to my current position. Along the way I’ve been a tech writer, a graphic designer, a full-time mom, a webmaster, a demand gen manager, a pay-per-click advertising hack, an Eloqua power user, a marketing consultant…and it all started with a degree in French from The University of Texas at Austin. Now I’m happy to be an Eloquan (yes, we have a name) and the manager for our Small-Medium Business Customer Success Team. The good thing about meandering is that you learn a lot of fascinating things along the way and the more things you learn, the more they start to gel together to form Interesting Ideas. I really love Interesting Ideas and even more, I love debating them with Jen, Rhonda and Laura. But what’s even better than the Idea? The ACTION. I can only tolerate small bursts with my head in the clouds then I need to get back to the details and put the Big Ideas into Big Actions. (In case you’re wondering… I do love To Do lists.) So join me in contemplating the universe of marketing ideas, but then let’s grab a cup of tea and dig into the tactics.

I am a pretty high-energy and passionate marketer. I have always been fascinated by the power of communication and imagery, starting with my very first Lite Brite (Lite Brites, btw, are so much cooler these days). My favorite (and most challenging) course in college was Persuasive Speaking. I am mesmerized by political rhetoric. And, I’m a huge fan of the Purple Cow. Don’t get me wrong – my clients will tell you I am pretty strict on lead stage definition and sales funnel metrics – but I really appreciate creativity that rises above the noise.
I have had the pleasure of working with and learning from brands such as Dell, Lombardi Software, Dow Jones Financial Services, and the Sacramento Kings. B2B, B2C, B2G, startup, or enterprise – we all have a common goal: understand our target market and create long-term relationships that increase mutual value.

Rhonda Wunderlin
Director of Marketing and Training Services for Eloqua
Although I graduated with a degree in Marketing, I started my career in Finance… odd as it sounds, it was worth it because the experience was irreplaceable AND that job got me to Austin, TX. Working in “Silicon Hills” I ultimately moved into Sales Operation and Marketing roles at several technology companies, which in time led me to my current role at Eloqua.
Now, people ask me all the time, “How is work? Do you still like what you’re doing?” I have to admit I feel very lucky. Not only do I get to work with exceptional marketing people from around the world but with companies who have very diverse offerings. One day it’s someone who makes rugged display devices, the next a company that offers pharma services, then a think tank dedicated to “improving the lives of Americans through ideas and action” – wherever I am, it’s always interesting and exciting. With my experience across finance, sales and marketing I get to help clients leverage process and technology to achieve measurable and sustainable results in their marketing performance. And…I really do love my work!
